Central Queensland Inland Port on
Track for Completion
The Central Queensland Inland Port will be a game changing outlet for customers in the region looking to export agricultural products such as chickpeas, grain, cotton and more.
These products will be stored and packed at the CQ Inland Port located at Yamala, 25km east of Emerald, as well as loaded on to trains and exported internationally via the bulk ports at Gladstone or Brisbane. The Queensland Palaszczuk Government supported the project by injecting $4.4 million into major road and rail upgrades along-side anchor tenant Graincorp. The new CQ Inland Port's safer and more efficient grain handling and transport paired up with the 24/7 link to Gladstone is set to reduce costs considerably and lead to increased exports.
